Our youth are not just the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. Our Family Life Center includes what we call "The Upper Room" where our teenagers meet for youth activities. Ringel Heights hosted a two day youth rally last fall that saw many young people from Georgetown and Horry Counties come to know Jesus as their Lord. Youth groups meet on Sunday and Wednesday evening. They are led by Ronnie Miller, Melanie Parsons, Terry and Amy Skidmore. These leaders have dedicated themselves to making a difference in the lives of our young people. They encourage our youth to reach out and make disciples by friendship, inviting others to fellowship and building on the work of missions.
We are very proud of our teenagers.
We also have an exciting ministry with a regular Sunday Morning Service for our children with their very own small sanctuary where they are taught from God's Word in addition to games and crafts. Our teenagers play an important part in assisting the director, Sylvia Marlowe, in this worship service where they also learn to be ministers for the Lord Jesus Christ.
We offer the AWANA children's ministry program as well for children on Sunday evening. We have many dedicated adults working with the children in this program.
There is also a Children's Choir who have performed beautifully for events such as the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Downtown Georgetown and several plays and skits. This has been directed by Josie Thames, Nikki Howard and Melanie Parsons.
We also offer a midweek opportunity for our children by evening involved in the RA's, Royal Ambassadors for the boys and the GA's, Girls in Action for the girls.
A Children's Choir is currently being organized by Josie Thames
We also have a ministry called All Things. This is a puppet ministry that travels to other churches and gives the gospel to young people by use of puppets, skits and music.
There is a van ministry that will pick up your children for Children's Church, Worship Services and AWANA
If you have children--We have programs
Our youth are actively involved in our missions work and have been involved in overseas missions to Mexico, Africa and Cuba as well as our missions work in Kentucky, Mississippi and locally.
